Rick Ross Wants The Former King Of New York!

Rick Ross while promoting his new album Richer Than I Ever Been, was asked about his dream Verzuz competitor and named JAY-Z!

“My favorite Verzuz? JAY-Z… Yeah! Why not?” Ross said. “To me, that’s what makes Verzuz special because it brings out the best in both parties. “Oh, that’s a possibility, but I gotta give my flowers to the big homie. I got to. My homie gave me my first opportunity signing me to Def Jam Records, and he’s one-of-one.”

JAY-Z signed Rick Ross back during his tenure as Def Jam’s president/CEO, and since have teamed up on songs like “Maybach Music,” “Free Mason,” “Fuckwithmeyouknowigotit,” “The Devil is a Lie” and “Three Kings” alongside Dr. Dre.

Ross has already had a bout on Verzuz after taking on 2 Chainz earlier in the year.

Rick Ross's, Richer Than I Ever Been, is out now, and just like his groundbreaking career, Tha Boss was honorably the first guest back in The Beat studios to join PK and debut his new music.

Ross is calling this “the best album I’ve ever done,” which features Benny The Butcher, Wale, 21 Savage, Future, The-Dream, DreamDoll, Yungeen Ace, Blxst, and Jazmine Sullivan.

Ross spoke on his rise in the South Florida scene and the hometown influences that helped hi on his way. Coupled with a his book release the album shows how after years of putting in work Rick's life is the richest its ever been.

Rozay was right at home in The Beat studios hangin with PK and talking about one of the loves of his life, the music that has shaped his career.
