JID Drops New Album ‘God Does Like Ugly’ With Clipse, Vince Staples & More

JID just dropped his brand-new album, but he's already receiving rave reviews from fans and artists alike.

On Friday, August 8, the Atlanta rapper delivered his fourth studio album God Does Like Ugly via Dreamville/Interscope. The 15-track project begins with "YouUgly" featuring Westside Gunn, which is split into two parts with completely different beats. It continues with other sonically pleasing records like his spiritual hymn "Glory" and the album's lead single "WRK." From there, he teams up with a slew of superstars like Clipse, Vince Staples, Ciara, EARTHGANG, Don Toliver, 6LACK, Ty Dolla $ign, Jessie Reyez, Pastor Troy and more for the most creative songs he's ever made.

JID spent a lot of time working on GDLU. He previously told On The Radar Radio that he began working on the album after he released his 2018 LP DiCaprio 2. At the time, he said he had over 2,000 songs recorded for his next two albums. Since then, he's delivered other projects like his 2022 LP The Forever Story and his GDLU Preluxe EP, which dropped last month. The four-track EP features 6LACK, Lil Yachty and Eminem.
