Papoose Calls Remy Ma A 'Narcissist' After She Accused Him Of Cheating

Papoose says he requested a divorce "numerous times" over her alleged infidelity before his longtime wife Remy Ma accused him of cheating on her.

The troubled couple's marital issues became a trending topic again on Thursday morning, December 12. It all started after Remy Ma posted screenshots of what appears to be a text exchange between Papoose and boxer Clarissa Shields. In her caption, the Terror Squad rapper claimed her husband and the prominent athlete had an affair.

"Papoose dum ass fell asleep on the phone with @claressashields 😂😂😂" Remy wrote. "Laying in my house he refuses to leave."

"This b***h supposed to be a world champion boxer and [her] scary ass hung up soon as she heard my voice 😂😂😂 Nowwww I’m telling everything ohhhh and babygirl u not the only one🤷🏾‍♀️"

Remy didn't stop there. She posted two more screenshots of Pap and Shields' alleged text thread. The seasoned rapper used her captions to speak directly to Shields and claimed she is "a ONE husband woman."

"I’m a good woman at that.Hence why mfs won’t just go," Remy continued. "Oh & He’s never gonna buy you anything cuz he thinks HE’S the prize 😂he’s a taker not a giver. Plus I’m the one with the bag lol. Please, stop playing with me cuz I’m not the enemy you want. I am not even mad actually I’m very happy- and that’s why your boyfriend is mad. Oh and I know you said you feel stupid but you look stupid too."

Not long after Remy's tirade on Instagram, Papoose addressed the allegations in a statement he posted to his own IG account. In it, he called his estranged wife a "narcissist" and claimed she "chose to cheat repeatedly." He also revealed that he asked for a divorce several times before Remy put him on blast.

"Sad to say that @remyma is a narcissist," he began. "She chose to cheat repeatedly. Now that I finally moved on, she's playing the victim. I have requested a divorce numerous time. She rather clout chase on social media. Than handle this like civilized adults. I did not wanna do the social media foolishness. For the sake of my 6 year old baby. She has to go to schol. As you can see, I remained quiet through this all."

Remy Ma and Papoose had been together since 2008. The couple planned to get married in 2008 while she was incarcerated but finally tied the knot in February 2016 after Remy was released from prison. Their relationship was documented during their time on VH1's "Love & Hip-Hop: New York." They also welcomed a daughter, Reminisce, into the world in 2018.

Fans began to witness trouble in paradise last year when rumors floated around about an alleged affair between Remy Ma and battle rapper Eazy Tha Block Captain. The chatter increased after Papoose confronted Eazy at Remy's Chrome 23 event and punched him because he "shook my hand and then slept with my wife." Remy Ma maintained that she never cheated on Pap. However, she reportedly dropped her married last name and is going by her maiden name Remy Smith.
