Moses "Shyne" Barrow says he once tried to spit in Sean "Diddy" Combs' face when he visited him in prison.

On Monday, November 18, the rapper-turned-politician appeared on The Breakfast Club to promote his new Hulu documentary The Honorable Shyne. During their conversation, DJ Envy asked Shyne about his attempts to reconcile with Combs in the years after he served his sentence. The "Jimmy Choo" rapper clarified that he didn't forgive him immediately, even after their first attempt in 2012. At the time, he felt like Combs still owed him for everything that went down after the 1999 nightclub shooting.

"He probably gave me like 50 racks," Shyne admitted. "And I'm like 'You can't be serious.' That's 10 years, 50 racks?"

Afterward, Envy asked if Combs ever visited him in prison. Shyne revealed that his former label boss did visit him once. During that visit, the Leader of the Opposition in the Belize House of Representatives said he tried to spit in Combs' face.

"He came to see me once, and I think I tried to spit in his face at Riker's Island," he recalled. "I didn't want him to come back. I didn't even want him to come see me. I didn't even know he was coming to see me."

Later on, the former MC repeated the claim that Combs destroyed his life. He said he experienced a lot of pain and wanted nothing to do with Combs. At one point, Shyne even said that he considered trying to sue Combs. However, he won't take any legal action at the moment since the politician is currently focused on becoming Prime Minister of Belize. Meanwhile, Combs denied Shyne's claims in a statement his attorneys released following his former artist's recent press run.

"Mr. Combs categorically denies Mr. Barrow’s allegations, including any suggestion that he orchestrated Mr. Barrow to 'take the fall' or 'sacrificed' him by directing witnesses to testify against him," Combs' rep said. "These claims are unequivocally false."

Shyne eventually did forgive Diddy in some way a few years ago before he was elected to the Belize House of Representatives in 2020. Afterward, he made peace with Combs again at the 2022 BET Awards. Watch Shyne talk about reconciling with Diddy below.
