Azealia Banks has rescinded her support for Donald Trump and will vote for Kamala Harris instead.
The New York native announced her decision in a lengthy post she made on X, formerly known as Twitter, Monday morning. Although the Harris/Walz ticket is not her ideal choice, Banks said she would do anything to prevent Elon Musk, an avid supporter of Donald Trump, from getting near the White House.
"I really think keeping Elon Musk away from any type of political power in the USA is tantamount to any issue on the table here," Banks wrote.
"You have to be a complete idiot to think that dirtbag cares about anyone or anything other than himself," she continued. "He's already been given way too much tax payer money - Allowing him to ascend to any position of political authority is very f**king dangerous."
Banks spent most of the election season stumping for Donald Trump. The "212" rapper has been spotted at a recent rally for the former president in Miami. She was also critical of Harris and Democrats on social media. However, it seems as though Banks' tune about the Harris/Walz campaign changed thanks to her thoughts about Musk.
"I was really holding out till the last minute hoping that Trump would AXE Elon," she wrote. "But he's really hell bent on Elon and RFK , and they are both bologna and hog cheese respectively."
